My mission and vision

My mission is to facilitate impactful collaborations between educational institutions and healthcare professionals worldwide. With established political connections and access to university presidents, I aim to create opportunities that advance academic research, healthcare initiatives, and cross-cultural understanding. My vision is a world where international partnerships drive innovation and progress.

Aima Adylova

Founder & International Coordinator

At the heart of Global Academic Relations is Aima Adylova, an international academic leader whose career has been dedicated to building meaningful partnerships between universities, researchers and governments across three regions of the world.

Living in the United Kingdom with her family, Aima serves as a unique bridge between Western Europe, Central Asia and China. Her professional experience, cultural understanding and international network allow her to connect institutions that might otherwise never have the opportunity to collaborate.

A citizen of Kazakhstan, Aima serves as the UK Representative for Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, one of Central Asia's leading research institutions. She also represents Shenzhen Medical University internationally, supporting research collaboration, academic exchange and the development of long-term institutional partnerships.

Her academic career reflects the same international outlook. Having completed her Bachelors in Marketing and Business Administration, followed by a Master's degree in Public Health, Aima  enrolled as a PhD Candidate in Biomedical Engineering and Molecular Medicine, specialising in biomolecular science and nanotechnology. Her research interests focus on the application of advanced biomedical technologies to improve human health and promote international scientific collaboration.

Aima has authored and co-authored 11 peer-reviewed scientific publications, with additional research currently in development. Her work has been cited internationally and spans subjects including nanotechnology, cancer prevention, cardiovascular disease and public health, reflecting her commitment to multidisciplinary research and innovation.

Beyond research, Aima plays an active role in developing the next generation of global scientists. She regularly supports the placement of PhD candidates and postgraduate researchers across international universities, helping talented academics establish collaborations, access research opportunities and build long-term careers within the global scientific community.

One of her most significant responsibilities is serving as the Coordinator of the Joint Research Laboratory for Frontier Science, an international initiative established under the auspices of the Presidents of Kazakhstan and China. The laboratory promotes strategic cooperation between leading researchers and institutions in emerging scientific disciplines, creating opportunities for knowledge exchange and collaborative innovation.

Throughout her career, Aima has worked closely with universities, research institutes and government organisations across the United Kingdom, China, Kazakhstan, Italy, Pakistan and other Central Asian nations. Her work frequently involves bringing together institutions with complementary strengths, enabling new research programmes, student mobility, joint laboratories and international academic partnerships.

More recently, she has been delighted to begin developing new collaborative opportunities with King's College London, reflecting Global Academic Relations' commitment to creating high-quality partnerships between world-leading institutions.

Aima's professional journey has been shaped by three cultures and three education systems. Educated across Kazakhstan, China and the United Kingdom, she combines academic excellence with practical international experience and a genuine understanding of the cultural, political and institutional differences that influence global higher education.

This unique perspective is the foundation upon which Global Academic Relations was established.

Today, Aima continues to work with universities, governments and research organisations to create partnerships that extend far beyond individual projects. Her vision is to build lasting relationships that encourage scientific discovery, educational opportunity and international understanding—connecting institutions, researchers and students to solve global challenges together.
